| 28/01/10 - McALISTER KEMP SCORE GREAT ARIA DEBUTTEVE F
Country's new super-duo McAlister Kemp are off to a great start, with their debut album All Kinds Of Tough exceeding expectations in it's opening sales week. The album debuted at #8 on the ARIA Country Sales Charts and #18 on the ARIA Australian Albums Charts (all genres). It was the fifth highest selling Australian country album of the Tamworth Country Music festival sales week. The album, produced by Matt Fell, was launched at West Tamworth Leagues during the festival to a large and vocal crowd of fans and industry members. The duo's debut single ‘All Kinds Of Tough' was only serviced to media in late November last year. “Drew and Troy are really connecting with audiences wherever they go. Their songs are so relatable and relevant for current times and their chemistry on stage is really fantastic. They have both worked very hard together to get to this point and it's wonderful that things have started so well for them”, said Tim Holland - A&R/Label Manager, ABC Music. Drew and Troy have been humbled by the success so far. “We're just blown away with how the album is being received, to have a company like ABC Music behind us who really believe in what direction we're taking is just amazing, we are very grateful,” said McAlister Kemp. McAlister Kemp will continue to support their debut album throughout the coming months starting with appearances at The Mean Fiddler, Rouse Hill on February 7, the Whitelsea Country Music Festival on February 14 and Central Coast Country Music Festival on March 7.
