02/04/08 - CATHERINE BRITT ACKNOWLEDGES HER DEMONS WITH ‘What I Did Last Night’, the second single from Catherine Britt’s new album Little Wildflower, reflects on Catherine’s battle with binge drinking several years ago. It’s the most revealing and personal song Catherine Britt has ever written and recorded. “My mum and dad were worried about me and one day I realised all the mistakes I made were made when I was drinking”, Catherine recently told Kathy McCabe, in an interview for The Daily Telegraph. Catherine has overcome this difficult period in her life, but a problem she is still very conscious of. The song is produced by Grammy nominated producer Brett Beavers and was a US Top 40 hit in 2007. The first single and title track from Britt’s new album Little WildFlower is a country radio and CMC Top 30 Countdown chart topper! Catherine Britt opened for Brooks & Dunn at last month’s Sold Out Brisbane Entertainment Centre shows, following on from supporting the band and Alan Jackson during their massive US summer tour in 2007. She’s also now co-headlining an East Coast tour with Adam Harvey. (c) 2008 Australian Broadcasting Corporation |
