16/03/08 - SHEA FISHER & JASMINE RAE TAKE US GUEST STORME WARREN TO THE ZOO

Up and coming recording artists Shea Fisher and Jasmine Rae showed US television host Storme Warren some Aussie hospitably this week - taking him to Taronga Zoo in Sydney while filming a segment for his popular US country music television program.

Storme Warren is the host of the television program Country Music Across America which airs on US Cable channel GAC (Great American Country) in the US. The show can be seen in over 80 million homes.

The program also airs locally on the Country Music Channel (CMC).

Warren is in Australia to cover this weekend’s CMC Rocks The Snowys festival in Thredbo, as well as the recent Brooks & Dunn tour.

A special addition of Country Music Across America, focusing solely on the festival, the Brooks & Dunn tour and Australian artists will air on March 22 on GAC and shortly after on CMC locally. Fisher and Rae, along with other local artists will feature in that show.

Fisher and Rae will then perform at the prestigious CMA Festival (the biggest country music festival in the world) in June.

Both artists will perform at the festival’s opening event, the CMA Global Artist Party. While Rae, ABC Music’s newest signing and 2008 Telstra Road To Tamworth Grand Final winner, will then also perform at the festival’s Riverstages.

The CMA Festival was attended by 191,000 people in 2007. Jasmine Rae heads into the studio next week to record her first single with guest US producer Richard Landis. She will then complete here debut album with producer Mark Moffatt in Nashville in June.

While Shea Fisher’s new single ‘Everyday Girl’ is at media now and she is all set to perform at CMC Rocks The Snowys this weekend.
