Sinead Burgess is one of the Australian music industry's most promising singer/song writers. Sinead Burgess is a vocalist, guitarist, piano player and songwriter with unquestionable star quality. She is both a vibrant and sincere performer with a commanding presence both on and off stage. Despite only just finishing school, she's already supported the likes of James Blundell and Graeme Connors and was a Tamworth Camerata Junior Country Music School Graduate in 2006. And it was only flooding in the Gympie region which stopped her from debuting on the main stage at the 2007 Gympie Music Muster. While in March 2008, she completed her first major support tour with music legend Don Mclean. Sinead Burgess has won a swag of awards at prestigious local and national talent quests including; the Caboolture Country Urban Talent Quest 2005, the Glasshouse Mountains Tavern Talent Quest 2006, Queensland Champion of Champions 2005, Pioneer Village Country Music Club Festival 2006 and Gympie Muster Maton Talent Search 2006 as well as being a Grand Finalist in the 2007 Telstra Road to Tamworth competition. And she is also a recent winner of the Queensland Quest Community Newspapers YoungStar Award in the field of Arts/Education. Sinead Burgess teamed up with esteemed local producer Garth Porter last July to record her first single and EP. Her' first single ‘You Get Me' premiered on the Country Music Channel in October 2008 and her debut EP You Get Me is released on January 17, 2009 through ABC Music/Universal Music Australia. The five-track EP also includes the self-penned ballad ‘Butterflies' as well as ‘Happy Ever After' which Sinead co-wrote with the mutli-ARIA nominated Catherine Britt. Sinead Burgess has been announced as a performer at the 2009 CMC Rocks The Snowys Festival next March and she will also support multi-award winning Canadian Corb Lund next February during the Queensland leg of his Australian tour. She will continue to tour and introduce her music to fans across Australia throughout 2009 while writing songs in preparation for the recording of her debut album, which is planned for release in the first half of 2010.
